Saquon!!!

It’s ABSOLUTELY AMAZING what SB can do when he doesn’t have to stand by a QB, count 1 1,000.....2 1,000.....3 1,000.....and then get handed the ball while still standing still!

He might as well have had his feet tied together and been blindfolded, it wouldn’t have been much worse.

Good to see you've put those things behind you. o_O:rolleyes:

Joe Morehead was an idiot for not fully using his talent. Yeah, that handoff scheme was really stupid.

And to think how much better the Browns would have been if they selected SB first and Mayfield 4th, cause they could have had both.
To be fair, the combo of Mayfield and Chubb has energized that team. Chubb has also had a heck of a year.

On the 78 yard TD, SB hit 21.91 mph down the left sideline. It was the best max speed on a rushing touchdown this season.
Watching that replay, it's amazing how still Saquon keeps his head while running at full speed, something that was also notable in his Combine workouts. It's true athletic grace, and a big factor as to why he is such a good receiver coming out of the backfield.

I wish we could have 2017 back and JM would run an option and direct snaps for SQ. I think he would have had another 400 yds, a heisman, and a CFP birth.

Doubt it.

But, it looks like they no longer live or die based on a Beckham performance.
Manning spreads the ball around without Beckham in the lineup....they’re better when they’re not trying to force the ball so that OBJ gets his touches.

Pat Shurmur called Barkley a "generational sideline leader" today. Pretty impressive for a rookie.
No kidding. The guy flat out KILLED it, and then proceeded to give the credit to his coaches, his offensive line, his team doctors and trainers, and to anyone else he could think of. He may be a better teammate than player, if that is even possible.

Barkley 6 carries of 40+ yards
Gurley 0 40 + yards
Elliot 1 40+ yards

Anybody watching these 3 can see Barkley is the best of the 3. Forget about stats just watch and it's obvious who the best running back in the NFL.

Barkley's speed and acceleration separate him. On his long runs off the edge, you can see the LBers, Ss and CBs take bad routes because they have no idea how fast this guy is at his size.

Todd Gurley

Barkley is 3rd in the nfl in rush yards, but he gets about half a yard more per carry (too lazy to look up the exact number) than Gurley and Elliot

Cleveland coaches and execs were concerned about shortcomings of Barkley that were detected by Lair posters.

Yeah, just like their predictions this summer that "Kenny Eight Yards" would be in the running for the Heisman this year and also greatly outperform Trace in the PSU-Pitt game this year. LOL.

Agreed...I watched both Gurley and Elliot a little this weekend. Both are world class RBs. Neither one is as exciting at SB.

With yesterday's game, Barkley passed Barry Sanders for the most rookie total yards from scrimmage all time in a single season by 1 yard, 1,753 to 1,752.

Sanders did his in 15 games, Barkley has played in 13.

If he keeps up this pace he is projected to have 2,157 yards this season which would place him (tied) 32nd for all time single season yards from scrimmage (tied with Deuce McAllister).

And he's a rookie.

Also...in an era that counts on passing. At that time, offenses counted on rushing.

That's a tough decision. Couldn't go wrong with anyone of those three.

FAKE NEWS?

Barkley certainly improved his speed while at Penn State. He was a decent sprinter in high school, but never a threat to win the 100 meters at the state tourney.
Dickerson has great speed "from the start". He was the Texas high school 100 yard dash champion with a 9.4 100.
Barring injury of course, Barkley's NFL career can be every bit as good as Dickerson's.

Yeah, agreed; some factors about Barkley's speed:
  • he seems to have gotten faster over the last 3-4 years
  • his acceleration is outstanding in the first 20 yards
  • while not a 100 meter champ type sprinter, Barkley is awfully fast for 40 yards, and in football gear

That's due to his strength IMO. Kid squats like a bazillion lbs with a legit sub 4.4 40 at 233.
