OSU hasn't had even average QB play in well over a decade. Day has developed every starter into a competent, conference-winning level QB. The room is extremely young and none of his QBs have any meaningfully experience, but they have the best returning WR/top 3 WR group in cfb.
I did see an article where St Claire was declared "destined for 3rd string" and upon reading the article it was merely a case of "Day isn't giving his $1 million NIL valuation QB anything" rather than based off any practices seen or such.

The Fields transfer and waiver saved them from Tate Martell having to start.
It certainly seemed like quite a few odd platform throws. It always makes laugh when qb s make these highlight reels in shorts with no defenders. The national media has already crowned this guy without a start.
With that being said he ll probably be first team all big ten.
My reaction too.
He has every advantage- but you've got to have the mental and physical aspects in sync while hoping that another spectacular athlete on the other side performs slightly less than you do.
Or just chuck it up to one of your 5 star receivers and let them make a play.
This tells us nothing. We do know they have the best WR room in the country so they don't need the best QB to still be very, very good.
They have 4 games that will be interesting, Texas, @ Washington, PSU and @ Michigan. I think they win all four and go undefeated or possibly win them all then have their obligatory meltdown vs Michigan. Probably don't win it again but will be right there in the mix either in the final 4 or final game. They just reload.

It might not tell us anything, but I don't mind seeing a self produced "highlight" reel where he never sets his feet and throws everything side arm. Won't matter if we can't get into the endzone.
