My wife has a school teacher friend. Her friend said that teachers had to sit through a video comparing a white woman and her child to a black woman and her child. It shows the white woman praising and encouraging her child while the black woman was reluctant to do so. The message for teachers was that back in the day black mothers didn't want to acknowledge their kid's skills/abilities because they were afraid they'd be taken as slaves. Teachers are supposed to treat black children differently because this thinking continues today.

How are black kids going to get ahead if they're constantly being told they are victims and that the bar should be lowered for them?
