Sigh... Just when you think this asshole Sessions can't sink any lower, he finds a way. He's gonna come out of the Earth on the other side at some point.

Franklin Graham, Rep. James Lankford, R-OK (and an evangelical pastor), and various other religious organizations have criticized Sessions policy of segregating families, which prompted Sessions to respond to the "concerns raised by our church friends." Sessions said those concerns were not "fair or logical," and cited Romans 13 in support of his policy:

"Persons who violate the law of our nation are subject to prosecution. I would cite you to the Apostle Paul and his clear and wise command in Romans 13 to obey the laws of the government because God has ordained them for the purpose of order," Sessions said. "Orderly and lawful processes are good in themselves and protect the weak and lawful."

Naturally, Sarah Sanders Huckabee doubled down in support of Sessions and his policy, noting that "It is very Biblical to enforce the law." She then had her ass handed to her in a WH press briefing, in which a reporter asked her "Don't you have any empathy for immigrant families?" She did not provide an answer.
