I don’t see the point in redshirting him. If he’s anywhere near as good as everyone thinks he is, then he won’t be around to take advantage of the fifth year.
Guns is in a staff meeting with Custer, West Branch Warrior, Miles Kaufman and several others, crafting this weeks game plan.

Since Shane is an end, blitzing doesn’t necessarily impact him. He would be part of the normal dline rotation. We are much better off in a base package than heavy blitz if we can get pressure with 4. The blitzing was one of the things that cost us the game against OSU. MSU has a good screen game and a kid I coached when he was younger at tight end, matt Dotson.

Northwestern did it. I would put givens at the 1 tech to pressure a pretty bad center. Northwestern’s 275 pound 1 tech ate his lunch. Force the double inside and pressure the tackles with the dends. Force them to keep Dotson at LOS.
And for some strange reason, I think PSU gets 127+ yds rushing this Saturday (2x what MSU has previously yielded).
