The Iowa game could have been a little easier for Penn State if they executed short yardage and play calling. Twice on the 1 yard line and you have the best back in America and you don't give him the ball? Jump ball from the 3 just a bad play. Easily another 10 -14 points and the sails start to come out of Iowa. Knock down passes (6-7?) from the defensive lineman cost Penn State huge yardage as receivers were wide open on routes. This made Barkley work harder. McSorely's height is one thing that may keep him playing at the next level. I hope he and the team can work on creating a little more space and throwing lanes. Not sure what the yards from scrimmage were last year but I bet this year they were close too if not more. Give Iowa credit but game should not have been close.
