sorry if this had been discussed already, the schedule on Gopsusports does not show any way to view the Army dual yet .... has it been made public if this will be on BTN2GO, flo, etc....?

thanks in advance!

Well, the BTN website says it is on BTN Plus at noon on Thursday so I'm not sure what to think.

You are right, it says BTN Plus .

arent they essentially the same thing? I watch BTN2Go on the I-pad and always thought it was the same content as BTN Plus ...?

BTN Plus is a subscription service. BTN2Go is a way to watch games covered by BTN or BTN Plus on your phone so you will need to a BTN Plus subscription to watch the dual. I have had BTN Plus for about 5 years now and the quality depends on the school as the communications students at the home school provide the video and audio. PSU coverage has been very good. And no, I do not get a commission from BTN. :D

Provides Plus coverage not normally seen, like "illegal fist in the back" analysis.

;)

I can honestly say of all the duals I have watched in my life, I enjoyed that one the most. We kicked Nebraska pretty good and I laughed my rear off thru the whole dual. :D

LOL - Agree NoVa Lion
- That coverage was priceless.

Would have been a creative satire piece. It was even funnier when you realize, that was how they actually covered the event. :D

A look and a listen from
some classic student calls
at the Nebraska Plus match.

With another look at
Ed "The Truth" Ruth.
Enjoy! ;)

Yes, Clarion, my brain did associate it with somewhere near pittsburgh. The announcer kept talking about George the barber, in I assume paid spots, like JB does with the side dishes at a SC restaurant. Kept saying about the great cuts from Cindy and gift certificates were available. It was close to the fist in the back dual so the fun just kept building.

And sorry, I am a fairly recent immigrant from Scout, most of my history is there.

I missed Nebraska's students last year, when they just piped in the PA Announcer's (sporadic) audio at about 200 x the volume it should have been. Scared the crap out of me repeatedly.

The baffling part about the Nebraska student broadcast is someone said one of them actually wrestled before. It would be slightly more understandable if they were both novices. But then that begs the question that they couldn't find someone with some basic wrestling knowledge to sit beside them and advise?

I'm hoping that Flo actually does the production now but it airs through both Flo and BTN Plus. Although, Flo Hockey just airs the BTN Plus produced broadcasts.

Maybe CP or Willie can confirm one way or the other if they are on the board today. CP indicated last week that it might be a possibility that Flo would be taking over production. Or maybe I misunderstood.

Classic! Thanks for the laugh. Loved when they both agreed that an Ed takedown was a reversal.

My contention has always been that they knew enough to pass a screening to get the gig, then decided to have some fun based on what wrestling would look like to outsiders.

Thanks TJ, entertainment while passing out halloween candy! I do miss Ed and his "fancy moves". As said, a lot of reversals in that match.

I would rather have those student announcers than just a PA system or certain BIG10 announcers.

One of, if not the, funniest threads I have ever been a part of. The match, I think, was not televised, so it was just audio of the announcers.

The announcers were talking about unrelated stuff right through action on the mat, as though there wasn't a match even going on. Then, at the end of some of those times, it was almost as if they looked up and realized the score was different. They actually said something like, "I'm not really sure how that happened." The Scout crowd was on their 'A' game that night, showing no mercy to a couple of guys who just weren't cut out for PBP.

It even led to one of Slush's famous satires, a preseason tale the following year, set in George's Barber Shop.

You are very welcome 7brwnpsu.
It was great to once again see Ruth work his magic.

I think it's more likely they spent 15 minutes with someone that told them the terminology but they didn't take the time to learn what they actually meant. If your scenario is what happened then they were a couple of very good actors.

This ^^, I believe. As humorous as it was, my old memory recollects that the regulars were caught in a snowstorm or something to that effect.

Roar, outside was the snowstorm, inside was an inadvertent innocent snow job.

If story is correct, I'm glad they stepped in.

A couple of those matches are on YouTube ... just wish Dylan Alton's was, that was the infamous illegal fist to the back call.

From what I remember, The two kids that were meant to do the broadcast were too hungover. So, the 2 kids that jumped in did their best , but have learned much about the sport since. The one kid thanked Cowbell for putting the dual on Youtube.
