I remember that great announcement which failed to include that in order to buy a ticket to the Penn State game, they had to buy a full season ticket. Or the announcement that the "visiting team" returned tickets that would be for sale. Perhaps someone already posted and covered it but I don't recall seeing Pitt's Sports Info. issuing any big press releases about season ticket sales. Just saying.

That was just a troll job by their AD. They know their role in this.

Last year's "tickets returned" statement by their AD was a joke. 70 some complimentary tickets were returned. It wouldn't have been ethical for PSU to resell complimentary tickets, thus the return. Their AD tried to make it look as though PSU didn't have enough fan support to sell out the ticket allotment. They then tried to claim the increase in season ticket sales had nothing to do with PSU fans buying them. It's funny how Pitt hasn't been bragging about their season ticket sales this year.

It seems every time I turn on a Pittsburgh TV station there is an ad begging people to buy pitt football tickets. The ads are probably paid for by Pa taxpayer funds. There is very little interest in the pitt football program. Like plenty of small city schools, pitt should play club football and not bilk the taxpayers in a futile attempt to have a big time football program.

Please take this opportunity to remember that Penn State has a culture problem.
