Is that Nick Lee sitting to Fix's right?

Good point. Snacks is a lock IMO. Given the fact that his two older brothers are a part of the program. I don't see him blazing his own trail especially with the access and familiarity with the program he has and will continue to have due to his brothers being on the team. That said, if he were not in play I could easily see PSU landing Gable, especially with his friendship with Hall. That would have a lot to do with it, similar to Lee & Teasdale.
I think you're right, but to play devil's advocate: his oldest brother went to Stanford, and he does have football offers. So I'll call it 98% confident.

In the off chance Snacks goes elsewhere, I don't think Cael goes after Steveson -- I think he waits a year and goes after Schultz. But it probably won't come down to that.

As far as training partners go, tOSU would give Fix the likes of Pletcher, NaTo and Stieber to train with. PSU gives him Suriano, Nico and Frank. UNC gives him Headlee, Ramos and Coleman Scott...not sure Ok St gives him much better options, but OK St would obviously not be a bad choice either.
Did the former world champ go back to Japan??;)

Suriano
Cortez
Nico
Frank the Tank
Zain
Gomez
Coach Tatsuhiro

Not a bad crew to roll with.

Would be a great get. I still feel OSU is the favorite but Cael has some magic. Smith is a light weight two time gold medal winner, so I gotta give him the edge.
Smith does not wrestle in the room anymore...We have Nico. Molinaro, and Gomaz to name a few to make him a National Champ and earn a team Title as well. Plus get a better education !!!!

I work on the field for Penn State Football games and ran into Daton with Bo and Mark Hall. I'm guessing it was some sort of official visit? If anyone has more info let me know!
Moose did you have a word with Daton..Like welcome to Penn State ? Hope you love your visit ?

am I the only one who keeps refreshing the page hoping for a post from Ames in this thread?

As posted earlier in this thread, Fix will make his announcement on NLI day in November. I doubt we'll hear much of anything until close to that date. For now, no news is good news.

I was glad to see Daton took his visit to PSU. Recruits need to take as many of their official visits as it takes to ensure the best decision for them and their family.

It's not just about "who they can roll with" at any given school. Just one factor of many in the decision-making process.

He may announce a lot earlier if Cael can seal the deal today....

no he wont publicly. But if you see Mr. T kicking his dog around the internet, you will understand the symbolism.
Lol....Mr. T ? I wonder how the staff felt about his official visit ? I am sure the wrestlers know too....

I seem to remember Jammenz saying somerhing similar about Mark Hall. So this post by him is good news.QUOTE]

Yup, Jammenz hung his hat a bit too much on Hall saying he wanted to go to school in the "Midwest". Seems like the mid-Atlantic was a nice alternative.

I'd be thrilled with either of our 2 main HWY targets.

50/50. I believe they both want to be there and CS is trying to work some "cap" magic!

Let's clarify. Ames reported that Berge likes PSU, but it's not clear if PSU can find the needed funds. In fact, Ames hinted that he does not expect Berge to PSU to work out.

To my knowledge, Fix's true interest in PSU is unknown. Ames has reiterated the common position that it will be very difficult to pull Fix out of state. If Fix is interested, I would assume that he is a higher priority recruit for PSU than Berge.

If I had to guess, I'd say odds are against PSU landing either guy. Getting both, even more so. Would love to be wrong.

Yeah, I thought they still taught Geography in high school.

If Fix did not have TRUE interest in PSU..The program who has won the last 5 of 6 National Titles he would not have been their all weekend !!!!

Not really on topic but it doesn't make sense to start a new thread for it. Here's a good chunk of the team at the Temple game yesterday. No Hall or Fix in the photo, I can only assume because Fix was too busy signing his letter of intent.

This is photo of the wrestlers that had received an academic achievement award last year...they were on the field with a ton of athlete's from all sports. Sorry to blow your Fix signing ;).

Fix and Hall were off to the side....

Is that Cassar in the white shirt in the front row ? Maybe the 165 from last year too. Have not seen these guys for awhile....

If Cael signs Fix he really is unstoppable imo. Fix is probably weighing things out with a heavy internal pressure to stay home and attend OSU. There is no doubt in my mind I would advise my son to go to PSU and join the train, and I'm not even officially a PSU fan. Better education on a better team with better partners. Also my complete admiration for the man running the whole show would be the final straw. Living in the middle of Iowa it is strange how I have become a closet PSU fan, but those of us who watched Cael and were lucky enough to get to know Casey are hard pressed to not admit it is THE destination for a young man with dreams.

I'll give you 3 hints:
1. How would Cassar receive an academic achievement award when he wasn't in school last spring?
2. Our 197 is probably not shorter than Zain.
3. Most of the names pop up if you click on the picture.
