Crazy story. Anyway, the screen-shotted post (and thread it was from) has already been deleted.

If what Mr. Wilson is saying is true, I don't see Seth following his big bro to Stanford.
Very likely wasn't gonna happen anyway. Snacks has Olympic aspirations, and Stanford is not capable of advancing those goals. But stuff like this could make it a lot more difficult for Stanford to attract that caliber of athlete in the future.

Also sure makes you wonder what the other side of the story is.

Your last sentence is what I first thought of while I was reading the post.

A reader just explained the other side in a question to Foley's mailbag:

"Peter Galli qualified the spot, giving the Pac-12 two spots at 174 pounds. The allocation would have been taken away had Wilson wrestled. That would have meant Wilson would have had to beat ASU's Zahid Valencia to qualify for the NCAAs, which seems unlikely, because he was not going to receive an at-large spot."

Well, if that's correct, then the decision is understandable. The coach chose to give the nod to Galli, who could make the NCAA tournament by exceeding everyone except for Zahid, instead of to Wilson who would have to exceed everyone including Zahid.

Yeah, they talked about that on FRL as well. Makes sense but sucks for Wilson
