Siberian Tiger: One awesome BIG Cat!! I like BIG Cats!! You like them too?

It is a mistake to call a lion as the king of the jungle. Most animal experts will tell you an average male tiger would beat his lion counterpart. Bigger, stronger, and more ferocious (sp?). There are no tigers in Africa which created this myth. Tigers are only in Asia and differ from lions in that they are solitary animals. The tiger is the true king.

Strangely enough, there are lions in India.

Never forget the time one of my patients who owned an animal rescue/habitat actually brought his "little kitty" to my office, and let me hold this 8wk old 75+lb. kitten who proceeded to lick me up and down with that sand paper tongue!!!
Amazingly, the father of this Siberian cub was >800lbs...he said closer to 900lbs...hard to fathom that.

Tigers are loners. Lions would team up and tear him up.
