Slade?

Yeah, not sure what to take away from it other than the Idaho game was the perfect opportunity to spread the wealth among 4 very talented backs to see what we've got.
Don't know how much of it was Slade vs. the few openings that the OL gave him. But he didn't do much. 9 yards on 5 carries? Ford and Cain looked better, IMO, but again.....hard to draw conclusions from 5 carries.
I came into the year thinking that Slade would flirt with 1,000 yards, but after yesterday I'd be surprised if we have anybody get more than 150 carries or so.

After Slade’s TD to go 20-0 Seider had a long talk with him coming off the field. Looked like “pick that hole” kind of language with his hands. Not seeing him much after that might only have been due to the rotation but Brown did get more snaps and deliberate attention in the passing game. Brown also looks really good (minus the drop which he later redeemed).

that Slade reception out of the backfield for the TD was a nice play. Can we do that against better teams?
Looked to me like he was a bit wobbly getting up after td run. Didn’t see anything on sideline but just looked odd getting up.
Struck me as more wanting to see Clifford throw a bit and then by the time things got out of hand, well...
Play or so before he seemed to be attending to his hand... later on the TD, a repeat. Thought he went down awkward in the first frame and then again on the TD. Was worried he might be hurt. Maybe he was...
Saw him seated on the bench smiling and conversing with team mates. I took it as why waste him in a scrimmage.
