Snow Skiers Rejoice

1 helluva early season storm out west. Just checked A-Basins webcams and snowing like a big dog. Plus they are making snow racing against Loveland to open first. But alas Silverton will have them both beat as they are spinning the bull wheel after heavy snows yesterday. Utah in on the goods as well as heavy snows at southern ski resorts and now Alta and Snowbird get in on the action as another storm rolls in....snow levels will be dropping throughout the week as cold air is ushered in... So enjoy it folks winter is upon us and a bad day skiing beats a good day in the office every day of the week.

Silverton in Colorado is waste deep up top. Pics show ski patrol hiking up and its deep! They are opening up the upper parts of the mountain. A Basin had a really good night of making snow with wet bulb temps as well as mixing in the real snow mother nature dishes out

14 inches at daybreak at Alta another 3-5 during the day today. Snowing at A Basin and snow guns ran all night and will run all day today and all night again and if lucky all day tomorrow

Wolfcreek to open this weekend, they have 12" on the ground, all natural.

Lots will be opening soon in Colorado if the forecast verifies. Up to 2 feet of new snow will fall by the end of the weekend. Mix in man made with the super cold temps over the weekend and next week for snowmaking there will be a number of places opening up in short order
