Any accurate info as to his whereabouts these days. Is he enrolled anywhere? Have all the schools started classes.

If he does not enroll anywhere until spring does this semester count towards the one year of ineligibility?

Inquiring minds want to know.

nothing new that I am aware of, At this point I do believe that he will not be wrestling for PSU anymore. If he competes anywhere else is yet to be seen.

It would not surprise me to see him sit out this fall while this gets sorted out. I'm not sure that is possible..... We will learn something later than sooner. Just my speculation

Only if you're pro Iceland.

Did someone say "Iceland"?

...how about Nick just sits out a year, wrestles in opens to keep in shape, and can enter any non-BIG10 school with 3 years of eligibility... or PSU with 3 years of eligibility... or a BIG10 school (not PSU) with 2 years of eligibility...

As I posted on the other thread, flo is using NJ.com as the source... the same rag that was blasting Cael for obstructing everything. Not sure how knowledgeable they are...
Agree 100%...but to be honest, I say just let the kid go and wrestle. It's a dumb rule and doesn't serve a purpose if it's not enforced. As for NJ.com...well

It may be a dumb rule but it should either be eliminated or enforced consistently. When Cortez transferred into PSU he had to sit a year why should it be different for Suriano?

Cortez is still here. Cael should immediately petition to get the year he lost back. Right?

That's not a bad idea. The rules aren't specific about when the waiver request has to be made. This would seem to open a door. Problem is he sat out the year in 2015-16, so his 5 years is ticking.

Suriano wrestling for Buttgers this year is actually a sliver lining. He will put down Tomo.
Progression in the Rutgers room may be different than in the Penn State room.
I was fairly confident Nick would be unstoppable wearing the blue with white strip singlet, but things change. It could simply be my bias, or it could be the development may diminish.
Just saying.

Rutgers better get him to the top of the podium. If they don't, they will have had a shot with the four most recent top records in NJ (Winston, Campolettano (admittedly a brief shot with him), Ashnault and Suriano) and gotten zero championships from them. If you were a top NJ recruit (or a top recruit from any state, really), would you want to go there? Of course, I guess Suriano did.
