Last year the softball team was 14-35.

They are 20-17 so far this year.

Last year they averaged .246 and hit 16 HRs all year.

This year they are averaging .294 and have hit 28 HRs to date which would project to about 40 for an entire year.

They are scoring monsters with 7 / 11 / 8 / 9 / 13 / 11 / 14 / 15 runs in their last eight games.

Best of all, their five most dominant players and best hitters are a frosh, 2 sophs and 2 juniors.

Nice job keeping them together, Amanda.

I got a chance to see them today (didn't see the DH yesterday)…..very impressive…….playing with energy and enthusiasm……I would watch them when they came to Madison over the past few years……and they just seemed to go through the motions….not seeming to have much fun…….and the Wisconsin kids (with the newer and younger coach) would just buzz them………that has come to an end….the new coaching staff at Penn State really does seem to have changed the attitude and energy…..good to see.

They're doing a real nice job. Proud of them.

I get people doubted Joyner, but he made good hires throughout his tenure. Washington's extension is the only thing really questionable
