Jon Holland can make some very tough catches. The others are going to develop. Gesicki was a freak, but there are plenty of receiver weapons on this squad....all over the place to fill any voids.
I think #18 will make us forget about 88 by the time he's done, plus he doesn't seem to mind to block!
I am impressed with #87. Always seems willing to make the tough block. Will only get better with experience.

Doubtful he’ll make us forget about mike’s big play ability, he’s one of the best athletes in school history. I do see him as a solid replacement, though.

Agree. TV guys said coaches very high on him. True frosh with good offer list, including Duke and ND.

Gesicki was obviously a fantastic athlete, but realistically he was more like a tall/strong WR than a normal TE. It will be interesting to see how the new crew is able to be used not just as receivers but in terms of blocking (typically in a lineman role, but also maybe in a FB type lead blocker).
