Something that - I think - should be said about the Barron letter

maybe if we here were talking about those issues rather than about wins and a statue (and I'm not talking about you here)- they'd feel more pressure to do just that

I'm not really disagreeing with you as much as I'm trying to see a glass partly full when there seems to be SOME forward progress. I know full well that I won't see the end of this in my lifetime, I just hope that my kids-two of them are PSU grads- do. So I'm taking the long view.

Well.....this is primarily a sports message board, and, I think you would agree, we see more discussion about governance - and governance failings - here on this sports Board than we hear from all of our elected Trustees - who are actually operating in a venue that is SUPPOSED to be all about proper governance - combined

I think that is an accurate - non-hyperbole - statement......would you agree?

In fact, I also think it is non-hyperbole, that those "Governance Folks" spend more time being publically outraged about a statue at a football stadium than they do speaking for proper governance - and calling out governance failures. (if necessary, I could link in the video of Ted Brown claiming that the just completed Alumni TTTEE elections were a referendum of restoring the image of Joe Paterno o_O)

Would you agree?

Isn't that Fed up?

Again, this is ostensibly a sports board, but we know it is also used to discuss numerous PSU related issues (and is visited - often - by folks on either side of all of these issues) so it is probably a reasonable place for these discussions

"Ducks in a row"? Honestly....are you f&$%^# kidding me?

4 and 1/2 GD years.....and we don't have "ducks in a f($&^@% row"??

What isn't an established fact:

1 - PSU's liability for the $90+ million in payouts has just been tied - by the Judge's ruling - to the Settlement Ccommittee's assumption of liability
2 - The Settlement Committee was set up as an exclusionary "black-box" in a cram down that cut out 85% of the members of the BOT
3 - The Settlement Committee, which was chaired by Lubert, made the decisions on the distribution of funds to the "alleged victims".
4 - To this day, the Settlement Committee has not shared any information of the "vetting process" (LOL) with the Board members.

How many !*#$* &!#*&$ing ducks do you need to @$*&ing line up?

And we have NINE elected reps sitting there with microphones in their faces.....and not ONE of them says ONE word - LITERALLY NOT ONE WORD - EVER!!!!!!!

Are you serious? Are you brain-dead? I hope the answer is ....."You were just kidding around"
If you have the necessary proof, why aren't you speaking out and giving it to the press? If it's that easy what's stopping you from handling this?

Because the Settlement Committee hasn't shared the info, we don't know how well, if at all, the alleged victims were vetted. We think we know, but we don't. There's what we know, and what we can prove. If you want to make accusations you can't prove to the press, damn the consequences, you go right ahead.

As for not having our ducks in a row after 4 1/2 years... alumni trustees are just now getting access to the Freeh files. Unfortunately they have been blocked and stalled at every turn. Getting info on the Settlement Committee may take a battle as well.

I share your frustration. But nothing short of convincing evidence is going to change anyone's mind, and taking that further, any charges that need to be brought require the same. Until we (and thus really primarily the alumni trustees) have it, they're not going to go off making accusations they can't back up. Or they can find themselves off the board, if I'm not mistaken.

We are talking about the Fiduciary Failings of the "black-box" settlement committee:

How many more ^$%& ducks do you need to have lined up before speaking out about that?

There were MORE THAN ENOUGH ducks lined up in November of 2012 - when Lubert's committee was initially implemented - to speak out about the fiduciarily abhorrent nature of the committee from Day 1.....let alone now, after we have all witnessed the disastrous fallout (fallout that may have been largely mitigated if we had spoken out then).

LMAO

Or, you can just blather on about completely unrelated stuff like the Freeh Documents......whatever you prefer :)

Oh how cute, a picture of ducks in a row. I'm sure if you submit that as proof, everyone will take that as absolute confirmation of your assertions.
