actually trekked thru both SDSU and UCSD campuses.. USCSD.. with a D2 hopes team and no stadium, simply destroys SDSU and everything about it. I don't know if I've been a campus with more new buildings... every building is custom glass, custom design, exposed steel.. fantastic lines.
SDSU has tons of non-university living spaces, and tons of student housing right on campus. In fact, the dorm to classroom ratio is befuddling.. not sure where they even go to class. Literally, no oval, main squared... it looks like an vacant shopping center. The baseball stadium is built with Cinder blocks, The soccer stadium is on top of parking garage. There is no football stadium. The arena is a pit and the exposed building roof is only 2 stories high. Their prior gym prob didn't even seat 4,000. It might be the cheapest piece of trash to ever be called a campus.
UCSD.. med, bio med, bio eng, eng med, bio mech.. arguably the top life science school in the US? There are ten studious Asians students for every studious Asian students. Buildings built by Irwin Jacobs (Qualcomm) and Craig Ventor (legendary bio rogue and gene sequencer)
