Am a season ticket holder and my first trip to the scuffle. What can I expect on the quality of wrestling and overall excitement of the tourney. Any advice on places to stay. Will there be a lot of PSU fans there.

McKenzie Arena is a good venue for wrestling. With 11 of the top 20 teams at the Scuffle, there will be no shortage of quality wrestling. Can't help you on places to stay, but within a couple blocks of the arena, there are plenty of places to eat. Taco Mac, Sticky Fingers, and Big River Grille and Brewing Works to name a few. There are a few hotels right in that same area with a quick look at Google Maps (Doubletree Chattanooga, Hampton Inn Downtown and Hilton Garden Inn). All of this within about a 10-15 min. walk of the arena. Have a great trip!

Quality of wrestling should be fantastic. After Nationals, Big Ten Tournament, and maybe Big 12 tournament, I'm not sure you'll find a tournament with more quality wrestlers than the Southern Scuffle.

My wife and I will be at the Scuffle this year. It'll be our first time. It would be nice to connect some faces with the people who post here. If any of you are wearing your PSU garb, don't be surprised if I plunk down next to you and introduce myself.

I've been to every Scuffle since Greensboro. I wouldn't miss it! Since I live in Alabama this is my opportunity to see live quality wrestling. The early rounds will move quickly with plenty of bonus points. Buy the bracket sheets as soon as they are available. Each match is numbered and the scoreboard will show you who is coming up on which mat. Plenty of quality seats. I just get GA and sit up against the rail in the second level. Perfect for viewing all 8 mats all the time. Downtown hotels mentioned by clucas are on Chestnut or Broad St near 4th Street.
