It seems to me that it would be a sad symbolic step backwards if we got to the point where no living human had walked on the Moon after we put 12 on the Moon in the late 60s and early 70s. I think about half of them are still with us. But anyway, SpaceX isn't putting humans on the Moon but it is sending two around it which as far as I know will be the first time since 1972 people have been to or around the Moon.
