This off season we brought in a new special teams coach. So far this season our special teams have had numerous problems. Despite the fact that our punt and kick returners are two of the better guys I’ve seen do this at PSU.
Certainly a lot of the mistakes fall on the players but at a certain point if all the special teams units are worse than they are last year, does Franklin have to point the finger at this guy? Just wondering. Is it the kids or the coach? Also I don’t get the sense that Phil is a stud recruiter. I’m sure there are plenty of young recruiters out there that can teach special teams. Perhaps it’s one and done for Galiano.
