Thought I'd share a little bit about this game since it's littered with so many Penn State targets in the 2018 and 2019 classes (and beyond). SFA legitimately has between 10 and 20 players who will end up playing Division 1 football somewhere, McDonogh has another five or six. These are the top two programs east of PG County at the present time.

Probably the biggest game of the year in the MIAA, & St. Francis was in control from start to finish, winning 28 to 0. I don't think I've seen a high school team with as much team speed as St. Francis has, which especially showed up on the defensive side of the ball, as McDonogh wasn't able to get anything going offensively. In terms of individual performances, I'll start off with guys that Penn State has already offered:

'18 PJ Mustipher: He was the biggest guy on the field and absolutely looks the part of a 1-Tech defensive tackle. Played a fairly solid game, was much more of a presence against the run than against the pass. Had a couple tackles for loss, but really impressed with the fact that he's a guy who really never comes off the field. Early on in the game, McDonogh did a good job of getting him lined up at offensive tackle against Eyabi Anoma, and he did a relatively good job negating Eyabi and keeping him out of the backfield.

'18 Eyabi Anoma: If he's really the fourth choice behind Oweh, Parsons and Smith, then those guys have to be out of this world. The only thing he's really missing right now is the power aspect, he doesn't have the strength and technique to be unstoppable, but in terms of sideline-to-sideline athletic ability, he's as good as I've seen. His first step is outstanding, and even when opposing ball-carriers got outside, he was still able to get over to the sideline and make a play. He's not as long as a guy like Chase Young, but he has better burst.

'19 Shane Lee: Probably didn't get to have quite the impact that some other guys did, primarily because McDonogh's spread offense is almost always in a four or five wide set, however his physicality and quickness really stand out. Very emotional guy as well, set an aggressive tone for the entire defense. He's probably never going to be 6-3 (or maybe even 6'1), but he is built like an NFL linebacker right now. Have to think he's got to be one of Pry's top targets at that Mike spot.

'19 Darrian Dalcourt: A good athlete, though a little bit smaller than I expected him to be. I thought that McDonogh's D'Von Ellies got the best of him a couple of times. Jaelyn Duncan (Maryland commit) was a little bit more solid. Seems like a guy that once he gets a bit stronger in the weight room could really emerge into a top prospect.

Other guys to know:

'19 Jalon Jones (Mississippi state commit), really dynamic athlete and runner (as evidenced by his 40-yard touchdown run), though didn't see the passing skills on display. The guy in the other side (DeJuan Ellis, a Virginia Tech commit) was a little bit more dynamic as a passer, even though he had more pressure to deal with and threw a couple interceptions. Reminded me a bit of Trace McSorley being a smaller guy (5-11, 160).

19' Joachim Bangda - I realize that Devyn Ford and Jordan Houston are probably their top two guys in next year's class, but this kid is really, really explosive and athletic. Scored two touchdowns tonight, the second one he seemingly made eight different people miss. With his offers list (OSU and Bama have already offered), he won't be a 3-star for long.

'18 Terrell Smith had a great game, picking off three passes. He's the kind of two-star guy who's best offer ends up being from Temple, and goes on to be a four-year starter for them. SFA has two kids in the 2020 class, Chris Braswell and Osman Savage who will end up being highly recruited guys too. Savage made a couple of nice stops tonight. The other kid who really stood out was a 2021 kid by the name of Aaron Willis. He's going to be a guy who ends up pretty highly-recruited himself when that time comes.
