It is definitely a great time to be a Penn State football fan. Back on Sept. 24 after the Nittany Lions had been defeated by Michigan [49-10], I don't think there was anyone who believed that when the second College Football Playoff poll was made public Penn State would have a 7-2 record and be ranked the 10th best team in the country. What a remarkable feat by James Franklin and his coaching staff, Penn State players and everyone closely associated with the Nittany Lion football program.
But that is not the reason I'm posting this message. For the next 48 to 72 hours I have to take care of several health related doctor visits and because of that I will not be able to chat here in the Lions Den with our Lions Den family members this afternoon.
Nate Bauer, Tim Owen and Ryan Snyder will keep you fully informed with what is taking place with the Penn State football program. I fully expect to be back in the saddle Saturday morning previewing Penn State's game with Indiana on the Pa. Sports Network here in the Lions Den.
My next chat here in the Lions Den will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 16 starting at 1 PM in the afternoon. I fully expect Penn State at that time to be sporting an 8-2 record with a win over Indiana. And I firmly believe that the best is yet to come for Penn State's football program this season and in the future.
