After off-season hype, we're seeing injuries, suspensions, and defensive problems. The Bills, not to be confused with great offensive teams, lit up the Steelers for 30-33 passing, 386 yards, and 3 TDs.

No cause for concern. That is an aberration, an outlier, almost a six sigma event. The Bills will not come close to such clinical efficiency in the passing game in any game within next ten years or so. Sorry Bills fans. :D

I'm not concerned. Cause I think their offense is still going to put up s ton of points.

There first team D hasn't looked that bad.

I have not bought into the preseason hype about this team. The schedule is difficult and the defense is not championship caliber. It's difficult to win in this league on offense alone. I think this is a 9-7 team that does not make the playoffs, or, with a few breaks, a 10-6 team that gets a Wild Card.

Blasphemy fairgambit! Just kidding. The expectations seem awfully high for this team. Lots of Steelers fans are seeing this season as Super Bowl or bust. They will score a lot of points this season. At playoff time it's still "can you run the ball and stop the other guy from running the ball? How do you feel about the Steeler's run D?

Well, it's better than the pass defense, but I just think they're going to have trouble stopping anyone. If the schedule was easier, I'd be more optimistic, but I keep hearing how brutal it is. Of course, you never know how good the other guy is until you play him, so maybe I'm unduly pessimistic.

Officially worried about the defense. You cannot run a cover 2 defense without a pass rush and that is what they are trying to do. Unless the rush is going to be tremendously better than yesterday they are in trouble. No rush defense and letting receivers catch the ball and then tackle them equates to 90% completion percentages. Hopefully they are holding a lot back for the regular season but you need to win some one on one match ups and that is not happening with any regularity. The person who is getting the most pressure and causing the most amount of disruption has been James Harrison and he has played about 50 snaps this preseason.

There is hope that Daniel McCullers can be a player but he looks tired to me on his 3rd play of a drive. A friend of mine who is a big Univ. of Tennessee football fan told me that McCullers will drive you crazy because he will make 2-3 unbelievable plays in a game and you think that the light has gone on......only for him to disappear for 2 weeks. I have seen that same behavior with the Steelers. Scary good play and then pushed around. the longer that he is on the field the less the chance for a good play that you will see. Where is Joe Greene??

Didn't matter who was the qb for Bullalo, the Steeler defense looked like a fire drill at a Hornet's nest.

I think they struggle to hit .500. This is just a very dumb team.

I don't usually put much stock in preseason games, but the defense and special teams have looked putrid. Can't stop the run, lots of space in the secondary, and no pass rush. Not promising.
