Picket got slammed down early on what seemed to be an excessively violent tackle. But Trubisky seems to be doing a decent job so far. 10-7 Ravens in the 2nd quarter.

Ravens are holding the Steelers players on the edge every time Huntley scrambles outside

not sure why an NFL coach, on his backup quarterback already, would have that backup running the ball

that's just incredibly stupid

Fed up! Tomlin needs to go regardless of the score. I used to support him wholeheartedly but anyone that would hire Matt Canada should go. The roster has degraded. The Steelers had winning records during Tomlin's tenure despite him not because of him. He had a HOF QB for years but squandered it.

As an aside WATT can’t be completely healthy he looks like he Is carrying a piano on his back.

The more I watch Pickett the more I feel he is an average starting QB who won’t lose you games but doesn’t have the arm talent or overall ability to be special.

Trubisky just is an up and down QB. Way too many throws that can get picked, but makes some outstanding throws as well. If he would have taken sacks instead of throwing the 3 picks the Steelers would have won by 1 or 2 TD's....

As it is only a miracle in these last 2:24 will turn this into a win.

Just can't lose the turnover battle so badly..... Especially when your run defense sucks.

The sad thing is I think he has better overall talent than Pickett and has the ability to make some throws that Pickett can’t. Not saying Pickett has performed horribly. He has shown some flashes but talent wise He is meh. Hopefully proves me wrong.

Because they’ve built the entire offense around Lamar and his playing style. Rather than needing a second playbook for the backup they have a backup they feel can play “Lamar’s game”. Not saying it’s smart but that’s more or less what Harbaughs said in the past.

The Steelers suck this year and will continue to suck because of terrible drafts the past few years. Picking Harris and Pickett was really dumb. Here is their move to recovery: Package Pickett and Harris and trade the package for a first-round pick next year. Then the Steelers will have 2 first round picks and two early second round picks. Take an offensive and defensive lineman in both rounds. Four stud linemen is what they need. They can start Trubisky at QB and a random RB next year. The team will be much more competitive. Then draft a decent QB over the next few years and pick up a free agent RB. That is their road back to relevance.

His TD pass to muuuuuth was a laser beam through a keyhole. Great pass.

His first pic…..another receiver was really close which brought over that defender who made the pic. Did that receiver run the wrong route and cause the pic? Second one was a bad decision by Trip.

If Trip had played more, would he have played better? And is Pickett getting so many first team reps that Trip isn’t ready?

One good thing…….one more loss and we won’t have to hear how Tomlin never had a losing season.

*Interesting aside. This was the 32nd time these two head coaches met on the field. Second highest in NFL history.

Miracle?
Steeler fans are hilarious.
The idea is to lose out.
Ever google how they got Bradshaw? Greene? Ben? Swann?

surely they have plenty of plays that don't include much possibility of Huntley getting bent in half while running the ball, they could just not call QB runs

I don't have to google it. I lived through it.

But "fans" still root for their team to win.

Being a great loser is not a guarantee to the formation of a championship team. The Steelers have been in similar circumstances before and turned the ship around through shrewd drafting to win super bowls. Fortunately the Cordel Stewart years were limited in number.

The days of hitting the jackpot like the Steelers did to set up the 1970's super bowls are pretty much over, as the workouts and combine have made the information available to teams more uniform. There have been plenty of recent teams that have had bottom 5 records that don't make much progress towards a super bowl.

You're not only hilarious, but don't have much of a grasp of how the Steelers won their last 2 super bowls. But if you believe you have the answers to turn the Steelers right around to a super bowl team, give them a call.

Most fans are smart enough to realize that losing is best for the future and we're not making the playoffs or winning a title this year. Losing today was a good thing. Glad it was a competitive game but the loss was good.

Most Steeler fans know that the Steelers did not throw in the towel when they built their last 2 Super Bowl teams.

There are lots of teams that spend a lot more time trying to build a winner than the Steeler did recovering from mediocre seasons to get once again to the Super Bowl. Jacksonville has had high draft choices for years. Bet their fans would like a few more wins instead of them throwing in the towel year after year. A few key players can make a big difference and not all the best players are taken at the top of the draft. There are lots of examples of top draft choice busts, and the Steelers did not throw in the towel the year leading to finding Big Ben at #11. Or TJ Watt at #30. Or many others.

Losses are for losers. That's not how the Steelers roll. And it hasn't been since the 1960's.

Who's throwing in the towel? They're fighting--they just aren't very good.
Good game today. Losing was better than winning for the long term success of the franchise.
Hopefully the Panthers win today and the Cards win tomorrow
Also, let's hope Chicago loses out which gets us a better pick in the 2nd.

So why have a mobile backup at all? They should have a traditional pocket passer in the 2 slot with that mindset.

The entire offensive identity is built on a qb that runs and they're committed to it regardless of who is under center. They're not built to win without that dynamic. You'll see Brown with called QB runs next week if he starts.

“Lamar’s game” will NEVER win:

1. He can not throw the football accurately.

2. He runs too much (albeit as good as any tailback) and thus can not stay in tbe field.

He will be out of the league shortly…once he can no longer run, he is dunk as a QB.

I'm not arguing for or against it. Just said that the Ravens are all in on the strategy.
