I did minimal research on this, but figured I'd post the question. It still boggles my mind that our defense surrendered 28 4th quarter points. I bet JoePa rolled over in his grave when he saw that. 4 TD's in 1 quarter!? Can anyone ever remember our D giving up 4 TD's in the final period?
If this season ends with a championship, which i'm cautiously optimistic it will, the story will start off with a classic. The story of how we were in control, then completely fell apart, then were guided to the lead behind our veteran QB.
Dropped passes are usually the result of the receiver not having confidence in his ability to catch the ball. With the influx of all this talent, I can see how our more seniored players might feel a little uncomfortable with the shift in team dynamic, which results in dropped passes and missed tackles. Hopefully the last two wins and a solid performance tomorrow night has the team riding high with confidence, heading into one of the biggest matchups in Beaver Stadium history.
Ohio State scored 28 against us in 2013 en route to a 63-14 thrashing, in the second quarter. Has any other team laid 4 TD's on us in one period?
