Prairie oysters are similar to " Lamb Fries". Here is a primer for you...
The trick is that you cut them real high!
LOL Zig, good flick. Came into town (office) for a brief time & remembered your clip. when Kar & I moved back to the northeast from Harrisburg, pop had a trailer and basement set up on his 60 acres he purchased in 1966. We called it the ( 'farm' ) in the back mountain area for summer use. Mostly woodlands and about 6 acres of open farm area. Eventually, pop, myself and my brothers-in-law built 7 houses on the farmstead.
Never knew what deals pop would be involved, always something going on with him. One day he told me to jump in the truck and we're going for a ride over to Mitchel's, about 10 miles away near Red Rock. When we arrived, some small talk and Mitchel loaded two young bulls and a young cow onto the truck. if I recall, they were only about 36 inches in height.
We kept the animals at the neighbors-real farm until we fenced off the 6 acres for grazing.
A few weeks later, pop invited the farmer neighbor Steve to show me how to castrate the young bulls. That after noon I enrolled pop & Steve into the Barry GFY club and took off down the hill to the trailer.
You rubber band the balls and eventually they will dry-up and fall off.
I guess the trick is to band them high and try not to get kicked in the face.
