Such a strange loss. It seemed like Ed's leg went dead. You could see him after the injury trying some things I don't remember seeing him try at all in the rest of his career at Penn State, I think because he was hoping to get a quick pin and get off the mat with a win. Then, of course, he won out in the consolations to get 3rd.

As your post stated what we watched the last 10 years has been amazing.
The PSU boys not only didn't lose but wrestled for bonus point decisions which some the other greats you mentioned did not take the chances that Penn State kids did.
