Any successful high school or college wrestlers that you can remember who were very tall non heavy weight in the 6'4" range. Nephew is in elementary school and is a really good athlete and wants to give it a go. only thing is his dad is a wiry 6'5" and mom is 5'9". Imagine he is going to be really tall already in 90 something percent tile.

...the name that comes to mind is Jack Spates - the original Spider Man...

...not 6'5" tall but wrestled 118#...

...compared to him, Niko looks like Arnold Schwarzenegger...

Kid in NJ named Matt Anderson was well over 6 feet tall and went 127-5 in high school at the same school Ashnault went to. Strangly he wrestled 103-130 despite his height. People just couldn't stop him from getting legs in and finding profitable spots in scrambles. He ended up going to Lehigh and qualifying for Nationals multiple times at 157. Even at that weight he looked far skinnier than Rasheed does now, (who looks pretty slim)he was just super tall and wiry. Learned to turn his height into a big advantage.

Isn't Quentin Wright about 6-3?

Dawson Peck was a human string bean at Chambersburg, 6-9, wrestled 215/220 as a SO and JR but didn't look it. Went HWT as a SR but wrestled some matches at 220. Has put on some weight, now HWT at Maryland, but nobody's confusing his build for Mocco.

I understand his brother Drew is also pretty tall, maybe not that tall, but haven't seen him. 182 at Chambersburg, I think he's a JR.

I can't remember the weight but Bobby Crawford from Milton High School was really tall. I think he wrestled something like 119 in high school and had to be over 6 feet tall. Three time state champ?

Send him into MMA that height & reach @ a light weight does wonders!
