How did PSU ever compete with half a roster? And the NCAA thought we'd never recover !Aren’t you the one who proclaims these are meaningless scrimmages? Why should the school play the bowl game if it’s unable to safely field the team?

Not to mention the free tutors, and free medical care, free hotel rooms and meals on the road and all the perks that go unmentioned with being a college athlete. These players have been completely taken care of. The only thing that was missing was NIL. Now they have it so there should be no whining at all. No one is making these "kids" go to school and play sports. It's their choice. But they are now taking advantage of spineless leadership with reports they're asking for money just to go on a visit, which the NCAA should have nipped that in the bud right from the beginning.Schools were profiting from the players? Oh no! You know who else the schools were profiting from? The rest of the student body, through tuition, room, and board.
Students to go school to prepare them for their career. They pay for that service.
Want a career in professional football? Go to school and learn how it is done, and benefit from the coaching, training, exposure, and free education. What an incredible deal it is for the student-athlete. NIL or no NIL.
You can tell it is was an incredible deal for the student-athlete, because thousands and thousands took that deal, well before the NIL nonsense came about.
Coaches can leave after recruiting a kid and promising he's going to be there to support them, right? Not to mention the free tutors, and free medical care, free hotel rooms and meals on the road and all the perks that go unmentioned with being a college athlete. They aren't owed the world just because they play a sport. No one talks about the time effort and money it takes to recruit these athletes. And no one said all scholly players were marketable, as in NIL. There was no guarantees there. People forget that the schools are paying for everything and that's a lot of overhead to pay for a lot of athletes needs.
I'm glad they got their NIL but this revenue sharing is plain bullcrap. If they want to make millions then let them pay for their education because it's going to come to that unless someone brings some order to things. There's no commitment from these athletes when they're allowed to transfer as much as they want where it will definitely hurt their educational growth. It needs to work for both sides not swing completely in one direction, which it has.
