Whoo! Diobate for Frankiin and Suriano for Cael today.Per twitter
Btw, Cortez says he's completely outgrown 125. He will begin his PSU career at 133 and says that 141 is in the cards if coaches ever need him up there.

The question is, can Suriano make 125 for next year?
Not going to wring my hands over that today ...The question is, can Suriano make 125 for next year?
Excellent.
With Cortez and Suriano on board, is it feasible to land Red in this class as well? Obviously, need to do everything possible to get Lee in the following cycle (i.e., I would think Lee is a higher priority than Red).
Tim ask him if lee played into his decision.Ha, I just got off the phone with Cortez and I see this come across. I'll try tracking Suriano now too.
I don't normally do this but I was just over on the Hawk board. They really believed they were getting Suriano and Lee. They were hoping a combination of Lee, Suriano, and Mejia for years to come. Now they're in shock mode kind of. "Well so much for his close ties with Morningstar". Now they're even more certain Lee is theirs'.
It appears that El-Jefe's "dominate the world" scenario is still in play
Also, a shout out to Willie, who took a lot of grief from non-PSU fans for his comments about Suriano in a couple of Flo Radio programs. Seems as though he had a pretty good handle on the situation.
If Cael manages to land Lee, all the corn in Iowa will pop !!!Absolutely ecstatic!!! Here is your ace of spades for your model of Penn State wrestling world domination, El Jefe... chief prognosticator of all things related to Penn State World Dominance. I'd like to take your class sometime... WORLD CRUSHING 101 or MASTERS OF THE MAT, 201. Professor El Jefe... I am a mere student to your grand formulations.
I LOVE IT and my cup runneth over... with in tears of joy!!! World domination... here we come!!!
If Penn State gets Spencer Lee sandwiched in with Jared Cortez developing accordingly in the Penn State room with great wrestler partners.... I'm calling World Domination... immediately. Thank YOU... CAEL and company... and our resident, boy genius... El Jefe for his simple assessment of the finer points of putting together....WORLD DOMINATION.
May I share a bucket... with extra butter... when that day happens... Doublehaul. We'll call it... a DOUBLE HAUL... DAY!!! Two recruits to IOWA'S NONE. YOU get two WORLD BEATERS and a bucket of Iowa popped corn all in one day. I love the smell of... WORLD DOMINATION and popcorn in the morning. Matter of fact... all day.If Cael manages to land Lee, all the corn in Iowa will pop !!!
I'll supply the brew. Time I started drinking again anyway.May I share a bucket... with extra butter... when that day happens... Doublehaul. We'll call it... a DOUBLE HAUL... DAY!!! Tim, sounds from both your interviews that it's setting up perfectly for Suriano to 133 and Cortez to 141 to make room for LeeJust chatted with Suriano quick. I'll post more on both him and Cortez soon, but I want to pass along a couple quick comments from Suriano first.
He said he was also considering Iowa, Nebraska, Ohio State, Arizona State and Rutgers. In the end it came down to the Hawkeyes, Huskers and Buckeyes with the Nittany Lions prevailing, because, he said, "the reality hit me that Penn State is the place for me. All around - the academics, the wrestling. I believe it's the best wrestling program in the country. Coach Cael Sanderson is one of the greatest ever, so it pretty much speaks for itself. It's a great place and I want to be part of something big."
Suriano also gave a quick update about his future weight class projection:
"I think I'll be a 125-pounder my freshman year. If I grow, then 133, but I think (for) my freshman year I'll be at 125 and I'll be perfect for the lineup. I think I'll grow after that, too. I don't think I'll be a '25-poounder all four years. I don't know that right now, because I'm not done growing."
The financial part of this question, only Cael knows for sure.Excellent.

You'll excuse my skepticism but care to give us any idea how you would know something like that?I know a lot of people around here are always talking about scholarships. As of a week ago PSU was only offering 85% Not sure if they upped it in the past week to get him to commit but a week ago they were only willing to give him 85%
