I reported him to the NFL at https://digitalcare.nfl.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
The Centre Daily Times (Nov. 17) reports in "He broke Joe Paterno’s leg, calls it ‘proudest moment’ in college,"
"In 2006, Penn State quarterback Anthony Morelli threw a sideline pass to tight end Andrew Quarless, who was tackled by Wisconsin linebacker DeAndre Levy. The two players flew out of bounds, crashed into Joe Paterno and the coach’s leg was broken. Levy reflected on his career with Men’s Journal recently and called the play "my proudest moment in college.”"
Levy then explained that he was proud of seriously injuring an opposing coach because of Paterno's alleged role--a role that has been utterly discredited--in failing to stop Jerry Sandusky from abusing children. Paterno actually did exactly what Penn State's existing procedures, and the NCAA's current procedures, required him to do, but the bottom line is that an NFL player, in his capacity as a Detroit Lions team member, said he was proud of injuring somebody seriously during a football game.
I am accordingly bringing this to your attention under the NFL Standard of Conduct clause, " Conduct that undermines or puts at risk the integrity and reputation of the NFL, NFL clubs, or NFL players."
