Temple Football

Temple should drop EVERY program. Everyone at Temple knew about Cosby in 2005 and did nothing. Cosby was still giving commencement in 2013. "Temple turned their backs on the victims and I am turning my back on Temple."

That seems a bit extreme. How about just dropping to FCS? Stadium might be an issue. Can a FCS program afford to play at the LINC an NFL venue?

not the same scenario obviously but a few years ago people were advocating Rutgers dropping football as well

Temple has trouble affording the LINC now.

That dipchit Rendell was too shortsighted to see the Union soccer stadium should have been built in the city and shared with temple. Northern Liberties along the river and perpendicular to TU would have been perfect for Temple. Rendell supported Chester to help his campaign contributors.

A shared stadium would have increased revenue and decreased costs for temple/union.

I work with quite a few Temple alums. They want the school to drop football, and reinvest all of that money into basketball.

Honestly, not only has Temple football fallen off a cliff but Temple basketball isn’t doing much better. You never hear about Temple anymore.

I believe ultimately they end up with the ACC teams plus UConn and UMass when the ACC gets raided down the road, so with Duke, Wake, probably Boston College and Louisville, maybe even 2-3 others like NC State, one of the Virginia schools, etc. Maybe an East Carolina type. But some of those schools may go B12.

I would have more sympathy for Temple but living in SEPA and being around their fans they are real a-holes when it comes to PSU as you will find out when we play them in Philly in a few years - worse and why Philly Sports radio rips on PSU when they infrequently even mention PSU is because a lot of the radio tools went to Temple - as bad as all the ‘Cuse alums in Bristol.

Of any of them have anything to say about psu then Remind them that the temple cult knew about Cosby in 2005 and did nothing. Cosby was still a trustee in 2013.

The best thing about Temple was the Wahnnie Vomit Fest. Wahnnie scheduled a big party at Ruth's Chris in Pittsburgh, when it was reported Paterno would announce an old rival. Wahnnie assumed it would be PiT.

When Paterno revealed it would be Temple, Wahnnie vomited all over himself. His whole party started barfing. Other guests became sick.

PiT had to pay for sanitizing the restaurant, cleaning bills, ruined dinners, and ER visits.

Many thanks to Joe and Temple.

Do you have a problem with the truth?

Temple turned their backs on Cosby's victims so I turn my back in temple.

Andrea Constands original story(2004 or 2005) is in the phila inquirer if you want to look it up. Cosby was a trustee til 2013. Cosby also have commencement til 2013. His 2005-2012 speeches are on YouTube.
