on his hands. Yikes. Herd and former five star Kongbo have most likely quit.

This frees up 10 more scholies so they can now average 40 recruits per year instead of just 30.

Call it "advanced processing".

I think this is BS, no true sources that I can see.

I've seen Vol reports that this is not true. They report there was a meeting but no evidence anyone has quit. Who knows what the truth is with competing stories.

What's going on there that would (supposedly) lead to a player mutiny? They are 5-3 IIRC. That's not great but not at a 3-5, 2-6 level.

If true - - - can't help but smile a bit wrt Shoops career advancement

This sounds like Kongbo is dissatisfied (again) and making his feelings known. Sure, he might quit the team at UTenn, but if he does I doubt anyone else will take a chance on him. I believe this is his third stop after leaving Canada.....

As for Hurd, I think he's upset with OC DeBord. Quite likely DeBord will be gone before Hurd, if UTenn rumors are even close to being true.

fellas...this is UT we are talking about here....limited # of classes to attend...tons of babes...free food...no ones quitting....unless they are absolutely nuts...

I'm not seeing anything about this from a credible source or even espn.

He is a Jr, and I think it may be a bad move for him. Butch Jones may have lied to him regarding running out of the I formation.
Down here in Sumner county, Jalen Hurd and Josh Malone were mega stars in HS - Beech vs Station Camp was once live televised by ESPN.

So the team won 5 in a row, everyone was happy, now they lose a few and everyone wants to quit. I am sure these kids have great futures ahead of them. Just quit and walk away when the chips are down and nothing is going right.

Bigger impact has to be recruiting and seeing that dumpster fire unfolding. I know there are a handful of players considering us along with Tennessee...including Wade (although I think the Vols have always been bit of a longshot with him).

I have to think this helps with Wade. Maybe Shoop gets an interim HC title out of this. Maybe Les Miles has found a new job? Who knows?

There may be more to this than a few losses, maybe not. I am waiting to see if other players leave and how this affects the team overall. If this team tanks it tells me there is a lot more than just a few losses and more serious problem at the core with their head coach.

Les Miles wouldn't say no to Tennessee. The SEC east would be a picnic compared to being in the SEC west to him.

I think Tennessee is a legit contender for Wade (think he's been there 3 times this fall). This would be a big help

I'd tie his interest there more to Shoop than Tennessee itself since I believe there's a history there with his recruitment when Bob was still at PSU. In any case when you see a team in total turmoil with the slightest hint of adversity that's a bad sign for stability.

Compare how Tennessee has handled their troubles to how PSU has handled their own issues. It's quite the contrast

I think the worst case scenario regarding Wade would be for Jones to leave and Shoop taking over and running the table. I doubt that scenario plays out...but it could.

No inside info, but considering Wade's number of travels to Knoxville and certainly to PSU for various weekends, he doesn't sound like a stay at home in the 'burgh kind of guy. If he turns out like John Reid as a cover CB, I'd be delighted to see him at PSU.

Tennessee RB Jalen Hurd is transferring

Add dissension to the list of problems for the Tennessee football team.

Junior running back Jalen Hurd is transferring from the program, Tennessee coach Butch Jones said during a news conference on Monday afternoon.
