My mother passed this morning at 415. She was very comfortable and in her own home. A morphine pump was started yesterday at 500 pm and it worked very well in maintaining her comfort and dignity. There was a team of nurses and aides from the hospice, a private duty agency and the retirement community where she resided who all provided wonderful care to her, my sister and me.
I do want you folks to know that your prayers and best wishes were really felt by my mother and me. I shared with her what I requested from The Board as well as the prayers that were offered and it put a huge smile on her face. Her father and my step dad were both Penn Staters so that really resonated with her. After my request, we both felt more of a sense of peace so other than a heartfelt THANK YOU, I wish and hope that your many kindnesses will come back to you in triplicate!!
I truly believe she is in a better place and that she will be with those whom she loved and loved her in return. She was a great Mom and I will miss her deeply. Take care, folks.
