They scored 60 of the 68 points. After all of the Kentucky hype all season with their so called one and done team (never mind that the Twins and WCS were sophs and a Jr) it was Duke's freshmen that came out on top.

Kaminsky came to play. Jackson and Dekker were disappointing.

I'm so conflicted about Dekker. He was a projected mid 2nd rounder during the regular season. With his Big Ten Tournament and play up to the UK game is now top 10 on a lot of the mocks. After tonight I'm wondering who the real Sam Dekker is.

I was pulling for UW since Bo Ryan is from Chester and because Frank was a Sr. Also, I was kinda hoping that with a loss Jones and possibly Winslow would return for a second year. Now it looks like Duke will have three "one and done" Lottery picks. Congrats to them.

Yep - Truly Amazing!

Not sure any are ready for the NBA.....but they're certainly MORE than ready at this level!

Could be the next great Duke dynasty if they stick around for a few years. We'll see. Amazing what immediate impact elite recruiting has in college basketball. A great recruiting class can get you an NC immediately.

NBADraft.Net currently has Okafor and Winslow as top 5 and Jones in the top 20. I gotta give Coack K credit. He's an older coach that seemed to be a little shy about the so called one and done approach but now he's embraced the formula. However, he does it in a way that doesn't draw the ire of college hoops fans as Calipari seems to.

I wonder if working with LeBron and the boys over these past summers has changed his mind on that whole philosophy?

Anyway, the Sixers need to parlay all of our picks into getting some of this talent we've seen in this tournament!!

The "other" 4 Duke kids are very good. The team wasn't built with just

one recruiting class.

That is true. No disrespect to the other 4 kids.

As fans we tend to look at the major contributors of a team and label them accordingly. This year's UK team was looked at as a team of freshmen mercenaries but Willie Cauley-Stein, Marcus Lee, Aaron Harrison, Andrew Harrison and Dakari Johnson were all returning players.

Not for nuthin' but the Sixers better not touch a Harrison twin unless it's with one of our half dozen second round picks. I don't think they're dogs or bad kids but I don't see them being contributors in the NBA. They've hit a couple of big shots here and there and play solid team defense but they aren't nearly at the level of the hype they had coming out of HS. With pick 35 or 40...maybe I'd take a shot but if that's where they are gonna get picked they might as well return for their junior year. Next year's draft doesn't seem to be as deep as this year's draft.

Dekker tried to hard IMHO

Instead of letting the open 3s come to him, he was firing right from the get go. Not sure that is his game. Maybe he started to believe the hype (who could blame him) or maybe that was the gameplan? Jackson just did not have enough time to play after injury, so he looked rusty. I was surprised he got so many minutes.

Why is Calipari the bad guy for all the one and done freshman...

But Coach K gets a pass?

Wiscy lost because Decker did not play very well, big game obviously got to him. And Jackson for whatever reason really was trying to hard to make plays and had several bad TO's which got Wiscy out of their natural rhythm. In the end, Wiscy players were tight the last 15 minutes of the game and Duke hit some huge shots. Officiating was not good, but with both the two main Duke players in foul trouble for much of the game, hard to complain too much.

For sure! (SI Cover)
