I was at the '86 Orange Bowl and I watched a bunch of players in tears slowly walk off the field after a tough loss to Oklahoma. One player had his helmet on the ground and was slowly kicking it towards the tunnel with his foot as he walked. He was extremely distraught about the loss. It cost them a national championship.

A number of those guys stayed and committed themselves to winning the whole damn thing in '86 and they went out and won 'em all, getting Penn State a national championship.

I see some parallels with our current team. Our guys played hard in the Rose Bowl. Should have won it, but came up a hair short. Tears on the field. Tears in the locker room.

Here's what I see happening. This team is already chomping at the bit. This team I'm certain has already dedicated itself to winning the whole damn thing in 2017. And they have the right team leaders to do it. McSorley is a warrior. Saquon is a true thoroughbred. I'm telling you, these guys can taste it. These guys will fear no one in 2017. No one. Hear that Bucknuts and Wolvies? No one!

I know people here will be saying how the Buckeyes will want revenge in Columbus, and yada yada yada. I don't care if they want revege. You know why? We can beat them anyway. Penn State is going to have an excellent and hungry team in 2017 and after what happened with the playoff committee, they will decide to take the decision out of the committee's hands.

Today, I am making my prediction for 2017. If Penn State can win in Columbus, they will go 12 - 0 in the regular season. It's a 50/50 game the way I see it, but I'm betting on the good guys. Mark it down.

Penn State runs the table in the 2017 regular season.
