A friend lives in suburban Chicago. Two decades ago, she was brutally raped by a stalking ex-boyfriend that is still in jail for the offense. She decided to keep the child produced from this rape who turned out to be an honors student and good athlete, but that is secondary to this story. Ever since the rape my friend has been a concealed carrier. She is employed in a position where she works shifts and she often gets home late. Last night just after Midnight she was returning home and it just so happened that 3 "urban teenagers" were around breaking into cars. When she stumbled across them, these 3 valedictorians saw a 57 year old woman alone and figured they would add robbery to their rap sheets. She drew her weapon on them and they thought better of it. As a side note, Chicago has a new unofficial record for the 100 yard dash.
