It's been discussed and MK has weighed in with his opinion of where he thinks PSU is headed which, of course, has made it hotly debated among some posters.

I've been of the opinion that we will be seeing a bunch of 5yr SRs part ways with the program in the future and it's NOT a bad thing. I think this position has been misunderstood by certain posters.

Phil brought up Akeel Lynch in today's chat, which I think is the perfect example of my (and others -don't want to speak for them, but I think this is what they mean - am I right, MK?) position on this. He is also one I've pointed out in previous posts on this topic that could be a candidate to move on and free up ships.

Lynch is the 2nd best RB on the roster at this time. Next year as a 5th year Senior he certainly could be an experienced and valuable contributor to this team. However, he is scheduled to graduate in May. There are multiple younger backs on the roster who may not be as good as him now, but are poised through growth to take on his role.

He's done a great job for PSU and PSU has fulfilled their obligation to them in providing an education and an opportunity to play football. Another year in the program is not going to have a major impact on his ability to pursue football at the next level. I don't see any problem in him moving on after this year and freeing up his ship. Phil stated it's 50/50 right now on this, which generally means they are thinking along these lines and it is likely to happen unless something changes in either the roster or the potential targets they are going after.

I can see multiple other candidates for this in the upcoming and future years as we get up to full strength.
