Members need to take a step back and let the coaches finish this recruiting cycle without analyzing every "miss" as if the sky is falling. Recently spoke with the father of a FOUR, yes FOUR star, recruit (who will remain anonymous by request) and was told that the recruit tried to commit during or shortly after the BBQ and the staff would not accept his commitment. This is a kid who we ALL wanted and when he commits elsewhere, we will all be bummed. And some members will post doom and gloom about the staff's failures. Dad also told me there was another player who tried to commit and was told no but he didn't share the name. The moral of the story for me was that the staff has to use a crystal ball to see who they can realistically get and then hedge their bets by having other offers out there. Sometimes the other offer guys are going to commit and you have to say no to others because of the scholarship limit. This staff is too classy to publicize their no acceptances. In the end, we might not fill out this class with talent as good as this four star but you have to fill position needs and save room for unexpecteds like a Gary. Unlike what we have seen for far too many years, this is a great problem to have and this staff is truly working miracles.
