There are rumors that the league is going to make it mandatory for players to stand during the National Anthem and a few players have come out publicly saying that it would cause an uproar. If the NFL makes it a rule and players still protest they will take another hit and lose even more customers. That's the real word btw, customers, not fans.

I know supporters want to make this a freedom of speech issue, but it's not. If you owned a business, and an employee was protesting, while on the clock, alienating a large portion of your customers, how long would they have a job?

Are these players too stupid to understand they're biting the hand that feeds them?
