The Good and the Bad of Playing Pitt

There are two distinct camps for whether or not we should play Pitt, but both arguments center around whether or not it's advantageous to us to play them. well next year it will be make or break.

If we beat Pitt, we prove head to head that we're the better program for at least that year. You'd have to think Franklin can sell the future and should help immensely with recruiting. Beat them 4 years in a row? Total dominance on the field will breed total dominance off the field.

If they lose though? Whoa boy. That could get ugly. The fighting for western PA recruits will become tighter.

In my opinion, this Pitt series will either cement Franklin's PA recruiting status for the rest of his time here or will lead to a quick departure. You can already tell how this Pitt game next year will be one of the biggest games of Franklin's coaching career.

Whether it's fair or not, the next 2 seasons are put up or shut up time for Franklin.
