I’m starting a thread about guns, training books etc. for firearms enthusiasts, hunters, collectors , or those interested inself defense .
First a quick review of a new hunting rifle by Ruger, the Predator in 6.5 Creedmore. It cost just over 500$ with a low end vortex scope.
Pros , it shot under 1” at 100 yards with Hornady hunting ammo.
Cons, I hate cheap glass, didn’t like the stock, and thought the trigger could be better. So I swapped the scope for my Sig 4-12x scope ( app 800$), got a Magpul stock, and replaced the trigger withs Timmeny trigger. So my 500$ gun ended up app 1700$. Should have just got the Bergara or Tikka.
But if you’re on a budget or have a beginning Hunter it might be a good starter gun.
