You need to caveat this list. How many of these "10 win" teams need a 12th regular season game, conference championship game in addition to the bowl win and/or playoff games to get to 10? 10 wins is a cheap metric at this point given the abysmal state of the out of conference slate when compared to the pre-BCS era. Apples to oranges really.

Valid point. 10 wins was
more difficult when there were less games than now and there were fewer bowl games in the '70s than now as well but one can also argue strength of schedule as well but I'll leave that to others.
