I hadn't been to the Phyrst in years and went there Saturday afternoon before the Iowa game, Nice, fun band and great crowd. Not too crowded but enough people for a good vibe while easy to get drinks.

Anyway, I couldn't help but notice the bartenders: almost exclusively good looking women wearing not much at all (shorts and halter tops/bikini tops) with an edge. Kind of like a 'hardcore Hooter's look' : many tatted up, body jewelry, etc. Now I am not complaining and it certainly added nicely to the pre-game activities but just wondered when The Phryst went to this look? Doesn't seem like the traditional Phyrst family atmosphere or, perhaps, I haven't been there for so long that is not anything new.

To paraphrase JoePa, go to The Phyrst before, during, and after the game.

Luchessi sold it to a younger guy. I'll let him know you prefer ugly chicks.

Unfortunately, we lost Ernie about a year ago. The bar is under new ownership, but Ernie's legacy endures.
