I don’t see any posts about it, and it definitely deserves one. It’s truly unbelievable to see a small school from Loretto PA going to the dance for the second time ever and the first time since 1991. And they did it as a big underdog and on the road against a team they already lost to by double digits the two times they played them in the regular season. It was awesome to see!!!

U of Delaware almost got there too. 12 seed who only won 5 games all year in their conference.

Entered CAA tourney on 6 game losing streak. Had 4 victories in 4 days including upsetting Towson who was top seed in a game they really controlled throughout.

Run ended last night with 76-72 loss to UNCW in championship. It just shows you never know.

Maybe we can go on a similar tear in Big 10 Tourney? Oh wait.........

I believe that makes 2 PA schools that are now a lock for the tournament. About 15-20 years ago you could always count on about a handful of PA universities to be represented in March Madness.

To not be in the Big 10 Tourney this year is the absolute bottom of the barrel PSU men's basketball experience. This is it. The only way is up. I think.

My daughter attends SFU in the PA program and was a dancer for the football team and basketball teams the last 3 years, she is currently the "manager" of the dance team as you are not allowed to Dance or play sports after your 3rd year, its more of an honorary job, but she get to keep her scholarship. So happy for these boys and this school. Small school is an understatement.... If you ever get a chance to read up on Maurice Stokes, he was SFU's basketball superstar back in the 50's. They said he was every bit the player Bill Russel was, until he was hurt. Their motto is "Become that someone". Its a nice little story for a small school in the middle of nowhere.
