The top 6 teams all lose yesterday on the road.

Lions rather lose on the road (occasionally) as a top 6 team than be irrelevant in hoops.

Too lengthy to discuss but, for starters, I absolutely abhor Coach K and not because I am a North Carolina Tar Heel fan (But that does help)
fair enough, I'm pretty neutral on Coach K except that he was one of the few people in sports that didn't seem to take shots at Joe

Perhaps his one and only saving Grace!

So, you choose to ignore the wins, the championships, the Olympic gold medals, the players he developed, and the respect of his peers?

Your hatred of Coach K just became silly after a while.

Oh please!

You must be a CNN watcher!

Respect of his peers?

HAHAHAHAH!

A ton of his peers know exactly how he is.

A leader of men my A$$!
So you haven't caught what the current UNC Coach, Hubert Davis has to say about Coach K?

“I don’t have very much a relationship with Coach K, but I have unbelievable … thoughts and praise for him,” Davis said. “What he has done for not only Duke University, for the basketball program, for college basketball, for basketball, in general, for international basketball and to do it at the level that he’s done it with such longevity and success, it’s much to be praised.

“I don’t have a deep relationship with him because I never played for him, but the times that I interacted with him in the seven years that I was with ESPN, the brief moments that I talked to him before and after games when we played against each other have been great and have been special. He’s a terrific coach and terrific person.”

Many, many times, people will say things, in public, for all the right reasons.

Behind closed doors and in coaches meeting, you hear very much a different opinion and it is an unwritten rule that (one) never speaks publicly about what was said.

In a book, and the title escapes me, a certain coach - in a meeting room of ACC coaches once said (when a certain legend left the room): "WE GOT TO GET THAT GUY"!

The GUY that left the room was Dean E. Smith a very much beloved God-fearing man.

The 3 coaches in the room were: Jim Valvano, Bobby Cremins and YOU GUESSED IT your boy Coach K!

Now sit down!

:p :) :p ;):cool::cool::cool:
