The ultimate comment on our society...

Because when your dad follows up with Gary Schultz, who says that it's being handled and is confidential, you trust what you're being told. When Paterno asks you if you're satisfied, you've been told it's being taken care of, so that's what you repeat.

And yet somehow JM didnt express one word of dissatisfaction to Gary upon hearing that. JM never said "hey Gary how come no one from UPPD ever came by to take Mike's statement and why they eff is JS still a free man?" or anything along those lines. Surely he would be outraged that JS was never arrested and could still access kids. But nope, not one peep. Hmmm.

I have yet to hear anyone from the MM camp answer this question: since MM never filed a written statement to UPPD what exactly did MM/JM expect Schultz to do (outside of an informal admin investigation and revoking of JS guest privileges/informing TSM)? An official criminal investigation could NEVER be started until the one and only witness filed a written statement to police.

Or were MM/JM too dumb to realize that if they wanted UPPD to do anything about JS, the one and only witness would need to make a written statement??

The jury ruled in favor of what we knew all along...the university administration mishandled the information they were given and then scapegoated the football program to deflect blame. McQueary is viewed unfavorably by a lot of people because of the narrative the university helped write...and the jury found that narrative to be WRONG. He deserves money ($7.3 million seems like a lot, but hey).

The narrative the university helped write was the same narrative of the OAG which was based on MM's written statement/GJ testimony that he was certain JS was sodomizing a kid. MM is the reason PSU/OAG was ABLE to scapegoat psu football, his story was the lynchpin.

If the jury found the PSU narrative wrong then they are saying the OAG/MM narrative is wrong.

If Mike wasn't happy with how it was being handled why didn't he call the police at some point later!?

Add to the fact that NO ONE ever told him he couldn't call the cops....and he gets 7.3 million! I guess his bookies are gonna be happy...

Yeah, and her opponent brags about he commits sexual assault. He's a guy who should be in jail.
Trump definitely has said some stupid crap... if he is proven guilty then he should be in jail for whatever is proven

Hillary?? OMG, it's a complete circus and coverup..

Mike wasn't gonna have a job with Joe's successor anyway. I don't think either Bradley or LJ would've gotten the job. I think they were gonna go outside the PSU family.

The court seemed to think that MM was going to earn $400k per year for the next 20 years until Spanier expressed support for C&S.

and the rest of you can continue to throw Mike McQueary under the bus - one of the very few people in this case who actually tried to do something.

I think it's two things:

1) That GJP that misquoted him as WITNESSING ANAL RAPE is still implanted in people's brains

2) The average person has difficulty blaming many when it's not so clear.

So, MM becomes the EASY target - the bad guy.

The only BAD guy is Jerry Sandusky. MM is the unfortunate witness to a "possible" crime. Could he have handled it better? Sure. But, he discussed it with TWO well educated adults and advised him accordingly.

Jerry's not the only bad guy, but Mike, Schultz, Curley, and Spanier are not the bad guys either.
