An altered state
Second paragraph;

“University leadership has embraced the opportunity to improve our practices, policies and procedures,” said David Gray, senior vice president for finance and business. “We have had a structured change process for more than three years that has been a significant joint effort of trustees, administration, staff and faculty.”

Have at it boys and girls.......

I have no problem with the university striving to become better and more efficient but anytime I see a mention of the athletics integrity officer I want to start smashing things. As for the BoT patting themselves on the back, I've come to expect it.

It really is best to avoid the world of the "intellectual nitwits". Their only worth might be when aliens from another galaxy arrive. We can make them official greeters, to confuse the intruders, while we figure out what to do.

David Gray is/was a good guy, he's obviously in this for the money. He was one of joepa's biggest supporters and still is throughout it all. I'm frankly surprised they didn't can him for being outspoken about that.

I love the words aggrandize...aggrandizing...aggrandizement.

I first used the word in a high school paper and my English teacher accused me of using a word that was inappropriate . When I pointed out to her that it was the only word that was appropriate for usage in that specific sentence, she reluctantly agreed.

I got a "C-" on that paper and a "B-" in the class despite getting "A's" on my previous papers. It was then that I learned that certain types of people don't like being shown that they're wrong and that if you "out" a person of authority, they throw their weight.

P.S. You forgot the second "g":)

Ha ha... What you forgot was the kissing her hind quarters part. I had an English Literature prof in college who gave 3 main tests each semester and handed out the results one by one in ascending order, in front of the entire class. Last one was me with an "A" in the first test. He looks up and calls my name, saying "excellent". When he sees who I am he says "You are so and so"? Yeah the guy who sat in the last row in a sweatshirt and day dreamed my way through his classes. Never got anything above a "C" after that. The crowning jewel is I had a room mate who was failing the course and at semester's end convinced the Prof. to let him take the first test over, due to family problems at the time negatively effecting his performance. I gave him my test, he copies it verbatim and gets a C-. Kid was so pissed he wanted to take the Prof before the inquiry board. I said, excuse me? He listened to reason. LOL
