Here's a brief distraction from any lingering thoughts about last Saturday evening. On October 20-21 there's going to be a big event relating to the Vikings in southern Maryland at something called Vikings Con. It'll take place all day Saturday and all day Sunday at the Charles County fairgrounds in La Plata MD, and I'll be there selling two of my historical novels about the Vikings, displaying some genuine Viking artifacts (including a 10th century Viking sword), and giving a presentation Saturday at 5:30 about Viking history and culture. Plus I'll be talking about the historical accuracy/inaccuracies of the Vikings tv series. If you're within easy driving distance, I'd invite you to attend.
